Recover the Pieces Lost
Recover the Pieces Lost
2019
Oil on Canvas
55 x 100cm
Recover the Pieces Lost was the title of my solo show in 2019, this painting attempts to convey a continuing concern with our human condition, the traditions in which it is represented together with a desire to connect with audiences using a subject-matter that communicates multi connotations through colour and scale in conjunction with methodology.
We are all human. We all experience various happenings within our life-time; good and bad. Yet, we all bare the marks of these experiences, even if they are not all visible. Those experiences drive us forward; we evolve with change. We grow through knowledge pasted on by others and from our own involvements with life. Particular events may mark us and have a lasting effect, which we assimilate into our life. It is only upon reflection that we become aware of how and why these happenings and influences shape the way we are.
All work is hand prepared by the artist using professional products.
